Clowns dont reproduce as a rule
merely existing via their audiences
so its always nice to be handed offspring.
All we have in common is a certain bewilderment,
a certain sense of -the other-
-- a childish existentialism brought to bear
onto the world at large.
It surprises me when parents entrust me with their progeny.
Still massive acts of trust are given I suppose for nothing larger
than a Kodak moment.
The kids themselves sense I mean them no harm.
(being too young to truely scare they are of no professional use to me)
Together we look out at a world we have yet to understand and has yet to understand us.
Call it the human condition, call it show biz,
just dont call me to babysit for more than a few seconds.
Ive got work to do.
